Access a Constant Zen Thru Your Massage Therapist

Or at least thru her webblog. I found a site called dailyzen
I’m sure that most people out there have already heard of this site and are reading it all the time. I just discovered it and I’m putting up a link in this post so I can find it again.

I have the Osho Zen Tarot deck and I often enjoy drawing a card to get some insight or guidance.
These days I have been getting some great cards. Ones that tell me I’m on the right path, keep going, just celebrate life and take care or yourself. Today’s daily zen was good… seemed to fit into line with the messages I’ve been getting, but then, I think zen is so “everything just is” that it fits in with any messages that one could be getting; from cards, church, thier mom…

I look around my office and my massage practice and I ask myself why I do it. I first get “the healer” inside of me. She says that my massage - my presence - is a gift of healing that must be accessable and provided. It’s true. That is where I rest my mind. Because sometimes running a business is hard.
Running a practice isrunning a business. Let’s just say I’m way way way better at giving the massage.

I guess you could say that my meditations these days have dug deeper into me (go fig) and what I have found is a longing for more. The way I see it - is it’s a problem. That I’m doing something wrong because I have not fulfilled my goals and seem to have new ones popping up like weeds.
But it’s not a problem. That’s what the cards have been saying and that is what the daily zen is sort of pointing out.
Awaken, have insight, know everything -even your own life and things - are empty; see that very deeply and be calm not because you are trying to be calm but because you’ve cleaned yourself of thinking the things that made you not-calm.
I love zen.

Eric Koszyk From Eric Koszyk. Wow! What can I say? Sierra is a truly gifted person and therapist. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about massage. It helps that she is extremely intuitive and a very caring human being. Her space on Broadway is very warm, comforting and inviting.

As a fellow massage therapist, I highly recommend her, especially if you are looking for extensive deep tissue work which she is amazing at. You will leave her place wiser; her treatments will change your life.

Joe Shirley From Joe Shirley I still remember the first massage I got from Sierra over six months ago. My neck was chronically bugging me, and my carpal tunnel thing was acting up. She asked my permission to go for it. I said yes. It hurt. She told me to trust her, and I did. And both my neck and wrist felt great afterwards. She went right through that crap and out the other side. Amazing.

Matt HansonFrom Matt Hanson Sierra is fantastic! I felt she was really attentive to the needs I expressed about my upper-back and shoulders. I was really impressed that she could identify other problems spots quickly and how they positively affected those areas that were bothering me most. I have had several massages and she has the strength and understanding to do a incredible job.

Dennis DildayFrom Dennis Dilday I’ve had close to a hundred massages from more than a dozen different therapists and I can say Sierra’s are unique and wonderful. She relates and interacts with the layers of facia in a way others can’t. While determined to get a response from the tissues, Sierra is also tuned into her patient and keeps the experience pleasant and interesting. Clinically, she’s both confident and competent.
